Our take
I was excited to try the King Top—it’s a classic for a reason. The leather upper is soft and molds to your foot, giving great touch on the ball. Right out of the box they felt comfortable, no break-in pain. On firm ground, the studs provide excellent grip and stability. The $81 price feels worth it for the quality. My only gripe is that they’re not the lightest cleat, and the tongue tends to shift during play. Also, leather requires more care than synthetics. But if you value feel and control, these are fantastic. They have that old-school charm with modern performance.
